Split a photo into an Instagram grid or carousel

Cut a wide or large photo into equal tiles for a seamless carousel or a profile grid.

Carousels: 1 × 2 or 1 × 3

For a panorama that people swipe through, split it into one row of two or three tiles. Crop the photo to the right total shape first — for three 4:5 tiles, the full image should be 12:5.

Profile grids: 3 × 3

For a large image spread across your profile, split it into three columns. Tiles are numbered in posting order: left to right, then top to bottom.

Post in the right order

Instagram shows your newest post first, so for a profile grid you post the last tile first. For carousels, add the tiles in number order.
