How to resize a signature for online forms
Forms often want a signature at an exact pixel size and under a small file limit, such as 20 KB. Here’s how.
Sign on plain white paper
Use a dark pen on plain white paper, and photograph it in good light, straight on, without shadows.
Crop tightly
Open the Signature resizer and drag the crop box so it fits closely around your signature. Extra blank paper makes the signature smaller once resized.
Set the exact size and limit
Enter the pixel size the form asks for, for example 140 × 60, and its file limit, such as 20 KB. The tool shows the real file size before you download.
Keep the original
Save your original signature photo so you can produce a new size for the next form.
